AP24 – Musical Theatre – Leading Ladies

&Piano 2024 is celebrating the work of British composer Madeleine Dring to mark the recent centenary of her birth. And so, for our Musical Theatre event of the festival we thought we’d showcase and celebrate some of the fantastic songs and shows written by female composers and librettists, as well as a selectin of iconic, popular songs by male composers for female singers.

Expect songs from Sunset Boulevard, Evita, Miss Saigon, Chicago, as well as songs by Mary Rodgers (Once Upon a Matress), Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Frozen the Musical).
